Wet Yr Whistle

This Austin dive bar is located on the East side of 35, not a place where too many petite blondes venture by themselves ! What makes this bar worth the drive and risk is the unique taste in decor which adds a lot of character. From neon deer heads and old Ramones posters it really feels as if you're in a different era. My favorite piece in the spacious yet compact place is the actual wooden bar itself, made originally in the 1900's for The Driskill Hotel located in downtown Austin. What the real rave is all about is that they actually have no happy hour but the drinks are just generally cheap !
